AUSTRALIAN PROPERTY MARKET UPDATE

The Block, Auction Squad, Hot Auctions, Better Homes & Gardens, Burke's Backyard, Backyard Blitz and Location Location, plus as many wealth creation seminars as you can poke a stick at, all seem to be saying the same thing; property is the way to secure your future.

According to those in the know, interest rates seem set to stay low, certainly until mid next year, and borrowing money has rarely been cheaper. This has been the main factor that has fuelled the property market for the last four years, certainly in those states where spring is an event.

ST. CRISPINS

There is no doubt that there are now in the tropic's as many points of view on the ideal home as there are ways to skin the proverbial cat. But when a home built in the traditional style enters the market, there is a certain magic about it.

Perfect for this climate this Queenslander constructed of timber with red terracotta tiled floors and high cathedral ceilings oozes character and charm. Even in the midday sun moving around the house feels cool and fresh; obviously the louvers have a tremendous bearing on this.

What a fantastic day for the owners of
15 Barrier Street. Saturday proved that auctions are the best way to sell your property and with Ray White at the controls, the owners had the perfect recipe for success.

With ample registered bidders, several of which were phone bidders from interstate and a good crowd of other interested parties the show was well on the way. The bidding started at $460,000 and with some intense bidding after approximately 20 minutes, the final sale price reached a little of $530,000 to the delight of the owners.
