to strengthen. While it isn't as strong as it was at the end
of 2003, it still fairs well compared to the rest of

QUEENSLAND'S
strong fundamentals such as population growth and good
economic conditions make investing in the property market a
good bet in the foreseeable future. Real
Estate Institute of Queensland
Research Manager Fiona Bergin said more people were moving to
Queensland
than ever before and the south-east corner of the state
remained the fastest growing region in
Australia.
"On current migration levels, Australian
Bureau of Statistics
(ABS)
figures show that Queensland
is expected to overtake
Victoria to become the second largest State between 2030 and
2040,''
said Ms Bergin.
