Property Agents and Motor Dealers Act 2000

The following forms relate to the Property Agents and Motor Dealers Act 2000 which is operational from 1 July 2001, the Property Agents and Motor Dealers Amendment Act 2001, operational from 29 October 2001 and the Miscellaneous Provisions Bill, operational from 31 May 2002.

The approved forms are to be used for licensing and regulating Real Estate Agents, Restricted Letting Agents, Pastoral Houses, Auctioneers, Property Developers, Motor Dealers and Commercial Agents dealing with consumers.

Name of Form Purpose of Form Download Form 20a - Appointment to Agent Which will allow for the appointment of Restricted Letting Agents and Real Estate Agents for letting, leasing, rent collection and property management. PDF Form 22a - Appointment of Real Estate Agent This Appointment form is to be used to appoint a Real Estate Agent to perform a service for a client on real estate transactions, such as selling property, letting or leasing property. PDF Form 23 - Reappointment of Real Estate Agent, Pastoral House or Auctioneer This form will allow real estate agents, pastoral houses or auctioneers to renew their agency appointment (where there is no changes to the terms of the appointment, other than the expiry date of the agreement) on a simple, one page form. PDF Form 24a - Appointment to Act as Auctioneer This Appointment form is to be used to appoint an Auctioneer to perform services for a client such as selling property, chattels or motor vehicles. PDF Form 27b - Selling Agent's Disclosure to Buyer The Selling Agent must complete the Selling Agent's Disclosure to Buyer form and hand it to the buyer before the contract for sale of residential property is entered into. PDF Form 28 - Disclosure of Beneficial Interest to Seller This form is to be used by Real Estate Agents, Auctioneers and Pastoral Houses to disclose a beneficial interest in property.
